So last night I made a Creamy Pesto and Broccoli with Farfalle because I was half lazy and half not.
Believe it or not, but it is possible!
I wanted to make this but only had prepared pesto sooooo I used that with some heavy cream and some other stuff and BAM!
It was yummy…. so its ok, I am excused for being semi-lazy.
1 Box Farfalle Pasta
2 Heads of Broccoli; chopped
2 Cups Heavy Cream
1 Cup Pesto
2 Tbsp. Garlic; minced
4 Tbsp. Butter
3 Tbsp. Flour
Melt butter over medium heat in a large sauté pan.
Meanwhile steam broccoli in a large pot of water and cover until tender.
Add flour to butter and garlic and continuously stir until golden in color; about 5 minutes.
Stir in cream and allow to thicken for about 5 minutes or so.
Stir in pesto…
And allow to simmer for another 2 minutes.
Cook pasta according to directions.
Once done, strain both pasta and broccoli.
Toss pasta and sauce together…
Serve with fresh grated parmesan cheese on top.
