Baked Collard Green Chips


Oooooo look at it…

Just look at it….

I bet you wouldn’t believe that they taste utterly A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

And that they are a healthy alternative to the regular chips we all know and love!

Pure bliss….

Anyways my mind is wondering while reminiscing over this majestical bowl of yummy, crispy, and slightly salty snack….

This recipe is very basic and calls for very little ingredient wise.

Also it is flexible… you can use Collard Greens, Swiss Chard, Rainbow Swiss Chard, or Kale!

Also this is just the seasonings I use and love…

I have heard of people spicing theirs up with other seasonings such as Cajun seasoning, Onion Powder and Garlic, etc. Basically try it out for your self and don’t be afraid to experiment!



Collard Greens, Kale, Swiss Chard, OR Rainbow Swiss Chard

1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt

Pinch of Black Pepper

1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 Garlic Cloves; Minced

Preheat oven to 350.


So the first thing we do is remove the ribs from the leaves (pictured above and below)


Next we will cut them into relatively large squares because they will shrink while baking.


All the chopping is just going by so smoothly so reward yourself with a JUMBO glass of vino 😉


Once you are finished chopping, transfer the leaves into a bowl and mince your garlic.



Toss your leaves well with the olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.


Arrange leaves on a lightly greased cookie sheet so that they are not over lapping and are laying flat.


Bake approxamitely 8-20 minutes. It depends on the strength of your oven. They do crisp up relatively fast so once they start to turn a deeper green in color and look slightly crisp, they are finished.


Transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy!
